Made Together: A Creative Women’s Weekend

with Dionne Woods and Kelly Wiler

Zanesville, OH  | Friday July 31 – Saturday August 1, 2026

Furniture Painting, Canvas Art & Creative Connection in Zanesville, Ohio

You’ve been craving this… even if you couldn’t quite name it.
A weekend to step away from the noise. To reconnect with your creativity… without pressure, perfection, or performance.
To laugh until your cheeks hurt.
To create alongside women who get it.
And maybe most of all…
To remember who you are when you’re not rushing, producing, or proving.

We’re coming back to Zanesville!

It’s been years.
And you’ve asked. You’ve messaged. You’ve waited.
So we’re creating something bigger this time…

A 50-woman creative weekend designed for connection, expression, and that unexplainable spark that only happens when the right women gather in the same room.
And this time… Zanesville will be alive with art.

Event Details

Location: Girl UPcycled Studio, Zanesville, Ohio

Meet & Greet + Local Art Experience:  Friday, July 31st, 1:00 PM
We’ll begin together at the studio, then step out into the energy of Zanesville during the annual Y-Bridge Arts Festival, exploring, gathering inspiration, and experiencing art as a group.

Creative Workshop: Saturday, August 1st, 1:00 – 5:00 PM
An immersive afternoon of painting, exploration, and creative freedom.

This is not just a workshop.

This is where furniture meets canvas — explore both without limitation
Real conversations — the kind you can’t have scrolling your phone
Creative permission — no rules, no judgment, no “doing it wrong”
A full creative weekend experience — including live art, inspiration, and connection

Whether you’ve been painting for years or haven’t picked up a brush in months… you belong here.

This was created for the woman who:

  • Feels creatively stuck or disconnected
  • Has ideas but second-guesses herself
  • Is craving in-person connection (not just online inspiration)
  • Loves furniture painting, canvas art, or wants to explore both
  • Wants to feel energized, inspired, and herself again

You do not need to be “advanced.” You just need to be open.

What You’ll Experience

Inspiration + Connection
Friday 1:00 PM

We begin at Girl UPcycled Studio to

  • Meet Dionne & Kelly
  • Connect with other women (many arriving solo)
  • Set intentions for the weekend

Then we head out together to experience the Y-Bridge Arts Festival:

  • Explore local artists and live creativity
  • Gather inspiration in real time
  • Enjoy a relaxed, fun, shared outing
  • Let creativity spark naturally before we ever pick up a brush

This is where the weekend begins to come alive.

Creative Immersion
Saturday 1:00 – 5:00 PM

Now we bring it all into the studio.

  • Hands-on painting (furniture + canvas techniques)
  • Creative exploration without rigid instruction
  • Live demos, guidance, and encouragement
  • Music, movement, and moments of joy woven throughout
  • Space to experiment, play, and surprise yourself

You’ll leave with:

  • Pieces you’re proud of
  • New techniques and ideas
  • A renewed sense of creative confidence

You’re not just investing in a weekend.
You’re investing in:
Creative clarity — knowing what you want to create next
Confidence — trusting your instincts again
Connection — friendships that last beyond the weekend
Momentum — energy that carries into your art and your life

Many women leave experiences like this and:

  • Start creating again after feeling stuck
  • Show up more confidently in their work and online
  • Finish projects they’ve been putting off
  • Feel more like themselves than they have in a long time

This is the kind of return that continues long after the weekend ends.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s not about copying.

It’s about:
Expression over expectation
Connection over comparison
Courage over control

You’re not coming to impress anyone.
You’re coming to be fully yourself.

Common Questions

Do I need experience to attend?

Not at all. This weekend is designed to meet you exactly where you are. Whether you’ve been painting for years or haven’t created in a long time, you’ll be guided, encouraged, and given space to explore at your own pace. There’s no pressure to “get it right”—just an invitation to begin (or begin again).

What do I bring?

You don’t need to worry about bringing supplies—we’ve taken care of that for you. All materials will be provided so you can simply show up, settle in, and enjoy the experience. If you have a favorite apron or a small item you’d love to work on, you’re welcome to bring it—but it’s completely optional.

I’m traveling can you tell me about about lodging and airports?

We’re so excited you’re making the trip. Zanesville is a welcoming, easy-to-navigate area with several nearby lodging options, including hotels and local Airbnb stays. Once you’re registered, we’ll share a few recommended places to stay to make planning simple.

If you’re flying, the closest major airport is John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), which is about an hour’s drive from Zanesville. From there, you can rent a car or coordinate travel with others attending the event.

We’ll also provide opportunities to connect with other attendees ahead of time—many women choose to share rides or coordinate accommodations, which can make the experience even more fun.

Will I finish a piece?

Many women do leave with a completed piece, but that’s not the only goal. This experience is about reconnecting with your creativity, trying new things, and building confidence. You’ll leave with something meaningful—whether that’s a finished project, a new idea, or a renewed sense of inspiration.

Can I come alone?

Yes—and many women do. In fact, some of the most meaningful connections happen because someone came on their own. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be welcomed into a space that feels warm, open, and inclusive. You won’t feel like an outsider for long.

Is the festival included?

Yes—the Y-Bridge Arts Festival is part of our Friday experience, and we’ll attend together as a group. The festival is open to the public and free to attend, so there is no additional cost. Participating with the group is completely optional, but it’s a fun and inspiring way to begin the weekend together.

Is there a refund policy?

Because of the limited number of spots and the planning involved, all ticket sales are final. If something unexpected comes up, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to another woman who would love to attend—just let us know so we can update the details.

Spots Are Limited!
We are intentionally capping this at 50 women
to keep the experience personal, connected, and meaningful.

And with the added energy of the Y-Bridge Arts Festival + a long-awaited return to Zanesville…this will fill.

Tickets cost $200 each and include:

  • Friday Meet & Greet + guided group experience at the Y-Bridge Arts Festival
  • Saturday 4-hour immersive creative workshop
  • Hands-on instruction from Dionne & Kelly
  • A full weekend of connection, inspiration, and creative renewal
