Rise Up, My Love

Original Acrylic Painting by Dionne Woods

Rise Up, My Love is an original 24 x 24 acrylic painting on canvas, framed in a dark metal floater frame. Inspired by blossoming branches reaching toward the light, this expressive floral artwork celebrates renewal, hope, beauty, and the quiet invitation to begin again.

Layers of soft ivory, blush pink, deep crimson, fresh greens, and warm golden undertones create a garden-like atmosphere filled with movement and energy. Delicate blossoms dance across sweeping branches, giving the painting a sense of growth and gentle abundance. While reminiscent of cherry blossoms in bloom, the flowers remain intentionally interpretive, allowing each viewer to bring their own memories and meaning to the piece.

The title, Rise Up, My Love, was inspired by the timeless words of Song of Solomon:

"Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away."

This painting speaks to seasons of becoming. It is a reminder that beauty often emerges after waiting, that growth happens beneath the surface, and that there are moments when life gently calls us forward into something new.

Whether displayed in a living room, bedroom, entryway, office, or creative studio, Rise Up, My Love brings warmth, softness, and an uplifting presence to the space. Its romantic palette and contemporary botanical style pair beautifully with modern farmhouse, transitional, cottage-inspired, and collected interiors.

Every brushstroke reflects Dionne Woods' signature expressive painting style, balancing abstraction and florals with emotion, movement, and story.
