Learn how to create and integrate all the latest spring decor trends with Issue 07 of The Turquoise Iris Journal!

I love spring!!! It has everything I love: sunshine, flowers, and ENERGY! Spring is the time when all the ideas and work we put into the first part of the year first start to come together into something big and beautiful; it’s the time when we see the first sprouts of the seeds we planted. When the team at The Turquoise Iris Journal planned our spring issue, I knew that we wanted to celebrate the growth that happens each spring season; not just the buds we see in our gardens or even the depth we see in our art, but also the growth that happens within us to make us stronger, wiser, and more truly ourselves. Our Spring issue is packed with inspiration, tips, DIYs, and step-by-step art tutorials that will have you smiling from ear to ear. Better yet, you can find all the details on the latest spring decor trends!

These timeless tutorials will look beautiful in this fresh new season and for years to come. I can’t wait to give you a sneak peek of what’s inside our spring issue!

Spring Decor Trends for 2022

In our Winter 2022 Issue, we made some predictions about what trends we thought we’d see in 2022. One trend we were spot on about? Color making a comeback! You know that I’m always going to err on the side of saturation, so I am excited to see how color influences our interiors this year.

Spring Decor: Bold Wallpaper

In the latest installment of “surprise-DIY that makes my husband Matt give me the look,” I decided to give myself another staging wall using a wildly bright, bold wallpaper! In the latest issue, readers can find my step-by-step wallpaper tips to achieve the boho rooms of their dreams. It’s like I always say…

If I can do it, you can do it.

Spring Decor: Pastel Accents

If you follow the latest Pinterest trends (I am obsessed), you may have noticed that “pastel wall color ideas” and “pastel rooms” have been trending for months! I think that starting out with pastel accents is a fantastic way to ease color into an otherwise neutral home. In the latest issue, the brilliant Maja Komasa of ReLoved by Maja Komasa shares a timeless pastel furniture makeover with a finish that has to be seen to be believed.

Spring Decor: Floral Art

I will always recommend adding more flowers to a room! They are my favorite thing to paint, whether you’re a beginner or an advanced artist, and they always match your decor. Watercolor artist Christie Wright of Red Echo Studio shares a step-by-step watercolor flower tutorial.

Artist Stacey Van Gundy of Stacey Designs knows a thing or two about flowers! She painted hundreds of them on her exclusive furniture makeover for Iris Journal! In her feature, she shares her growth as an artist and gives us a step-by-step tutorial for painting a magical butterfly meadow armoire.

Bonus! Spring Fashion Trend

As seen in a previous blog post, I’ve been completely obsessed with painting my own clothing lately. I thought it would be fun to hop on the Dopamine Dressing trend that’s all over Pinterest with these fun, hand-painted tulle skirts! In the magazine, I share an exclusive video showcasing how I make AND style these glamorous accessories.

There is so much more inspiration to be found in the latest issue of The Turquoise Iris Journal
