The Motivatarian Path To Creative Empowerment
I coined the term “Motivatarian” to describe the way that people like me thrive on motivating and empowering others to live their best, most creative lives. Through words, actions, and even my own creativity, I have made it my life’s work to ignite a spark within each individual, encouraging them to overcome obstacles and pursue their creative dreams with relentless determination. It is through this work that I began to discern patterns that would one day become the framework for my Motivatarian Path to Creative Empowerment.
Motivation Leads to Creative Empowerment
As artists, our work is deeply personal and often emotionally taxing. Having a reliable source of motivation can make all the difference in maintaining our creative flow and achieving our goals! However, finding that motivation can feel like an impossible task all by itself. That’s why it’s necessary to have a framework that allows us to determine the source of any creative blocks, thus empowering us to take control of our creativity! No longer controlled by external factors like stress or internal blocks like self-doubt, empowered creatives like us are able to simply sit down and create whenever we choose.
Creative empowerment is what allows artists to reach their full potential. It’s about finding that inner fire and keeping it burning brightly, no matter what challenges you face. Most importantly, it’s about having the courage, curiosity, community, and connections that will allow you to continue growing even when life knocks you down.
My Motivatarian Journey
My path to creative empowerment is the result of many years as an artist and creative coach. I first began to see evidence of these concepts after I opened my Creative Connection community, which has helped thousands of creatives. The data and knowledge put into this path comes from my years of experience coaching artists in groups and one-on-one. It’s the result of hundreds of conversations with creative professionals on Paint Talks’s Podcast, through The Turquoise Iris Journal (my ad-free magazine curating timeless creativity), and all the artists I’ve met while speaking and teaching at dozens of workshops, retreats, and conferences across the United States.
What I’m trying to say is this: every artist is different, but that doesn’t mean we can’t all learn from one another.
