Hello, All!
I hope everyone is getting to enjoy this lovely Spring weather. I’ve been painting like a wind storm and am excited to share several new things with you.
First, I found this app called, Hyperlapse, and used it while I
painted this antique wardrobe.
I’ve been looking for a good way to add little clips like this on
my Facebook page. There are so many days I wish I could move this fast.
Have a look at the finished piece!

I used four colors of chalk / clay paint from Debi’s DIY Paint to create
this soft buttery shade of coral pink. The colors are Carnival Red,
Kissing Booth, Cowboy Coral and Queen Bee. Oh, and I also
used a thin layer of their white wax…that’s the best part.
Lastly, here are some of my newest paintings. All of these are available as of today, on my website, The Turquoise Iris.

I am the lover’s gift; I am the wedding wreath;
I am the memory of a moment of happiness;
I am the last gift of the living to the dead;
I am a part of joy and a part of sorrow.
But I look up high to see only the light,
And never look down to see my shadow.
This is wisdom which man must learn.
~ Song of the Flower XXIII by Khalil Gibran
Have a good one, my friends.
Dionne
Pink—yummy! Love the depth of color!
Pretty ?
I just love your work Dionne You have come a long way I truly admire you! Love the coral and those flowwer paintings are amazing. Love what you did to add dimension on the top 2nd.
Thank you for sharing your gift of art. I’m only on my first year of painting fun art on furniture learning everything I can about the business. I’m considering investing on DIY paint.
I realize it would make such a difference in how I would use the paint. I just watched the free tutorial you sent and thank you for the tip on mixing the 2 colors to make a 3rd color.Still new at the whole engaging on line and I don’t post regularly etc. God has just made a way for me to continue and have met people who help me get things done! Just wanted to say you are a blessing!
Way to go! and your puppet show to teach kids is brilliant. You have exceeded your potential well done .
